3 Patti Game – Rules, Variants and Strategy for SlotsPK Players

3 Patti is the game most people open SlotsPK for. It is simple enough to learn in one round and deep enough that experienced players still argue about the right move. This guide covers the rules properly, explains the variants you will meet inside the app, and gives you strategy that holds up at a real table rather than the usual list of vague tips.

The Basics in One Paragraph

Every player is dealt three cards face down from a standard 52 card deck. Everyone contributes an equal boot amount to the pot before the deal. Play then moves clockwise, with each player either betting to stay in or folding. The last player standing, or the best hand at showdown, takes the pot. That is the entire game. Everything else is a variation on how you bet.

Hand Rankings, Strongest First

Trail / TrioThree cards of the same rank. Three aces is the best hand in the game.
Pure SequenceThree consecutive cards of the same suit, for example 8-9-10 of hearts.
Sequence (Run)Three consecutive cards of mixed suits.
Colour (Flush)Three cards of the same suit, not in sequence.
PairTwo cards of the same rank. The third card breaks ties.
High CardNone of the above. The highest single card decides.

A detail many newcomers miss: A-2-3 is the second strongest sequence after A-K-Q, ranking above K-Q-J. It catches people out constantly.

Blind and Seen Betting

This is the mechanic that makes 3 Patti different from poker. A blind player has not looked at their cards and bets at the base stake. A seen player has looked and must bet at double that amount. You may stay blind as long as you like, which is exactly why the game rewards patience.

The strategic consequence is real. Staying blind for the first few rounds keeps your cost per round at half of what the seen players are paying, while giving away nothing about your hand. Against opponents who look immediately, that arithmetic quietly works in your favour over a long session.

Side Show

When only seen players remain, one may request a side show with the previous player. If accepted, the two compare hands privately and the weaker one folds. It is a way to remove a single opponent without going to a full showdown, and it is most useful when you hold a decent but not outstanding hand, such as a middling pair.

Popular Variants Inside SlotsPK

Classic

Standard rules, standard rankings. Where every new player should start.

Joker (Wild Draw)

A random rank is declared wild at the start of the hand. Wild cards inflate hand strength across the whole table, so a plain pair is worth far less than it looks. Adjust downward accordingly.

Muflis (Lowball)

Rankings are inverted. The weakest hand wins, so a trail of aces becomes worthless and a scrappy 2-3-5 offsuit becomes powerful. The hardest variant to switch into because instinct fights you the whole way.

AK47

All aces, kings, fours and sevens are wild. Extremely high variance, big pots, short hands. Enjoyable, but not the place to learn.

Hukam (Trump)

A trump suit is declared and cards of that suit gain strength. Sits somewhere between Classic and Joker in complexity.

Best of Four

Four cards are dealt and you build your best three card hand from them. Average hand strength rises across the table, so fold thresholds must rise with it.

Strategy That Actually Works

Fold More Than Feels Comfortable

The most common leak by a wide margin. Roughly two thirds of starting hands are not worth chasing. Folding early costs you the boot amount; chasing a weak high card costs you many times that.

Use Blind Play as a Cost Control Tool

Play blind for the first two or three rounds as standard. You pay half stakes, you reveal nothing, and you watch how the table behaves before committing anything meaningful.

Read Betting Patterns, Not Cards

You cannot see opponents' cards, but you can see their timing and sizing. The player who raises every hand is bluffing most of them. The player who has folded ten hands and suddenly raises almost certainly has a trail or a pure sequence. Believe them.

Respect Table Position

Acting late means you have seen what everyone else did. Play a slightly wider range from late position and a much tighter one from early position.

Match the Stake to Your Budget

A sound rule of thumb: never sit at a table where the boot amount is more than about one fiftieth of your total balance. Anything higher and a normal run of bad hands ends your session prematurely.

Quit While You Are Level

Set both a win target and a loss limit before you start, and honour both. Walking away after a good run is a skill, and it is the one that separates players who enjoy the game long term from those who do not.

Mistakes to Avoid

3 Patti FAQs

Is 3 Patti a game of skill or luck?

Both. The cards are chance, but betting decisions, fold discipline and stake management are skill, and they decide results over many hands.

What is the strongest hand?

A trail of three aces. The rarest hand and unbeaten.

Is A-2-3 really a strong sequence?

Yes. It ranks second only to A-K-Q among sequences, above K-Q-J.

Should I stay blind or look at my cards?

Staying blind for the first two or three rounds is generally the stronger play because you pay half stakes and reveal nothing.

Can I practise without spending?

Yes. Low stake and practice tables plus the daily free spin let you learn the flow at minimal cost.

Which variant is best for beginners?

Classic. Learn it properly before touching Joker, AK47 or Muflis.

How many players sit at a table?

Typically three to six. Fewer players means more hands are worth playing.

Conclusion

3 Patti rewards discipline far more than daring. Learn the rankings until they are automatic, use blind play to keep your costs down, fold weak hands without hesitation, and pick a stake your balance can comfortably absorb. Do that and you will win more hands than the player who relies on instinct alone.
